Demand Side Management Programs

Given the ever increasing energy demand, compared to the relatively fixed capacity, utilities are consequently aware of the need for consumers to reduce their overall energy consumption. Therefore various utilities throughout the country have developed expansive Demand Side Management Programs.

In addition to educating consumers on methods to reduce their energy consumers, Utilities are also proposing Energy Conservation Measures (ECM’s) as a means to offset demand increases. New England Utility companies have developed robust incentive programs for both residential & commercial customers that, in certain instances, can now fund up to 70% of the project costs.

For residential customers, incentive programs are available for the following:

  • Home Electronics
  • Heating Equipment
  • Water Heating Equipment
  • Cooling Equipment
  • Residential New Construction Programs
